If it has a cord or a battery, bring it
BARC takes anything with a battery or a cord. That covers the obvious pile in the garage: computers, laptops, printers, keyboards, cords, TVs and monitors. It also covers the small stuff people assume has to go in the trash, like toasters, microwaves, vacuums and other small appliances.
The same rule works in reverse when you are standing in the kitchen with something you are not sure about. If it plugs into a wall or runs on a battery, it can be recycled at BARC. Phones, radios, speakers, hair dryers and power tools all land on the right side of that line.
Washers, dryers, stoves and dishwashers belong on this list too, and so do light bulbs and batteries from the car, the boat or the junk drawer. Each one has its own line on the 2026-27 sheet below, so you know the number before you load the truck.
