Give a shift to the Kaleva store and get paid in BARC Bucks.
BARC's volunteer opening is Kaleva Store Organizing, at the resale shop and drop-off at 14407 Industrial Dr in Kaleva, Michigan. The company puts the payoff in one line:
Every volunteer shift earns BARC Bucks good toward Resale Merch, Building Materials, Recycling Services, and More!

What a BARC Buck buys
Three places to spend a shift
The reward is not a thank-you card. A shift earns credit you spend inside BARC, on the things the company actually sells.
- Resale MerchThe Kaleva resale shop sells donated cookware, children's clothing, books, furniture, antiques, electronics, kitchenware and vintage finds.
- Building MaterialsDe/Re Construction pulls doors, windows, lumber and siding out of homes slated for demolition.
- Recycling ServicesPickups, mattress and e-waste rows, bins and fees are all on the 2026-27 sheet.
Store organizing
A resale aisle stays sellable because someone keeps it in order
Donated goods arrive in every condition and every category, and a shop that sells coats next to cookware only works when the racks are sorted, the shelves are faced and the new arrivals get a place. That is the craft of organizing a resale floor, and it is what the volunteer shift is named for.
The Kaleva donation rules are strict by design: new or gently used items only, no paint or HHW, no undergarments. Volunteers who know them save everyone a trip.
